The DreMa aluminium composite pipes combine the advantages of plastics and aluminium regarding the chemical resistance and form stability. With retrofitted installations, the on-wall mounted skirting of Marley for the running of lines are a simple and a clean alternative to gouging out the walls.
The Marley DreMa system is optimal for the classic and economical laying of double line systems. DreMa aluminium composite pipes are 100 % air tight, which therefore minimises the corrosion of the radiators. During the laying, the energy saving regulations and the installation information for the aluminium composite pipes from the drinking water installation category must be observed.
Leakage test according to DIN 18380
Before closing any slots in the wall, ceiling and wall break-throughs and if applicable the application of screed on the walls, the water lines must be tested using a pressure of 1.3 x the total pressure of the system.
Individual connections when laying these in screed using a compact radiator as an example
With single connections, every radiator is separately connected with the supply line and the return line (Ø 16 aluminium composite pipe up to 3.5 KW) from the distributor. The system is aerated using the end stopper of the distributor (100). Compact radiators are connected with the thermostat valve using a pipe bellow (104), the two pipe valves (105) and the redirecting pipe (112). The return flow is always marked on the outer pipe and on the article with the directional arrow. For exact temperature regulation, use the thermostat head (108).
In-line connections with skirting board installations using the example of a compact radiator with valve
Numerous radiators can be installed after each other using the in-line connections. Compact radiators with valves are connected using the two pipe valve (106 or 107). An additional coupler (2) is necessary for radiators with a connection of 1 /2" inside thread. The aluminium composite pipe of Ø 20 is used for a heating power up to 7KW, for a heating power up to 3.5 KW the aluminium composite pipe Ø 16 must be used. A transition from Ø 20 mm to Ø 16 mm is possible when using junction fittings (109). The return run is situated on the outside, observe the installation position of the junction fitting (see diagram a). For connecting the junction fittings to the radiator, bellow fittings for junctions (112) can be used or even easier, reinforced hoses (115) can be used.
