Oldies but Goldies

Oldies but Goldies

In this section you will find tips and information on products that are no longer part of the current range.

Fans

What needs to be considered when installing fans with overrun?
It is necessary to use at least one switching current (L1), one continuous current (L) for the overrun and the neutral conductor (N). Earthing is not required. It is important to observe the wiring diagram in the installation instructions.

When is the overrun on the MT 100 VN2 active?
The overrun starts when the fan is switched off after a running time of 2 minutes. If it is switched off before this, it switches off without overrun.

The Smart Ventilator SV 100 runs continuously and cannot be switched off. Is this correct?
Yes, the Smart Ventilator is a permanent fan and provides basic ventilation.

Although all three cables are connected, the overrun does not run. Is the appliance defective?
No, it is necessary to use at least a 4-core cable and connect the cables according to the connection diagram.

V10 N does not start with earthed plug.
The fan requires a second phase carrying continuous current.

Where is the humidity sensor located on the MS 100 VFN?
The sensor is located in the center of the fan wheel, behind the 3 small holes.

How do I get an overrun on the MW 100 E?
With an overrun relay in the flush-mounted junction box.

Which fan has a start-up delay?
None of the fans have a start-up delay. This can be achieved with a flush-mounted overrun relay.

Can I retrofit an older fan without a run-on delay?
Yes, with the CS3-1B overrun relay.

The humidity sensor does not react on the MF 100 VFN fan. Why is this?
The plug may have been disconnected from the sensor when it was connected.

Can the speed of the fans be reduced?
Speed control is not recommended.

Can the diameter of an exhaust air duct be reduced?
No, this increases the pipe resistance considerably.

Can the fans be installed in the ceiling?
Yes, but the shutters must be removed from MF series fans.

Can I also install the device outdoors?
No, Marley fans are only suitable for indoor use.

What is the maximum temperature of the exhaust air?
The maximum temperature is 40°C.

How long does it take to open the blades on MT series fans?
Approx. 45-60 seconds via a thermal switch.

Can I use a push button switch?
No, a switch is recommended, as a button can affect the run-on time.

What is the minimum number of cores the cables must have?
Two cores for simple fans and three cores for fans with overrun. Earthing is not required.

What does double protective insulation mean?
The fans are protected against splash water and water jets and may be installed in protection zone 1.

Is the detection angle of the motion detector adjustable?
No, the detection area is drop-shaped and cannot be adjusted.

Do all fans in the MT series have an indicator light?
With the exception of the MT 100 VBN, all have an indicator light.

Does the MWK-AN module delay the start of the fan?
No, the module only activates the overrun.

How many cables are needed to connect a fan with an overrun relay?
In addition to the switched phase and the neutral conductor, a further continuous phase is required.

Can the MF 100 VFN only be switched in automatic mode?
Yes, it is sufficient if there is a permanent current on terminal L.

Can Marley fans convey air over long distances?
Yes, with the MR 100 U or MR 100 AFN centrifugal fans.

What do the terminal designations on the MT and MF fans mean?
L1 = switching current, N = neutral conductor, L = continuous current. Earthing is not required.

Dothe Marley control modules only work with certain fans?
Yes, they are only compatible with Marley Modultechnik fans.

Drema

Can the DreMa system be used for underfloor heating?

Although the pipe is not specifically designed for underfloor heating, it can be used as it meets the requirements. We recommend using it for short distances in the bathroom, in combination with a return thermostat.

What is the difference between Euroadapter no. 20 and no. 21?

Euroadapter no. 20 is designed for the 16 mm aluminum composite pipe and has two O-rings for sealing and a white plastic washer to separate the aluminum and brass. Euro adapter no. 21 is designed exclusively for the 16 x 2.2 mm PEX-c pipe and has no seals or plastic washer.

Can the Euro adapter no. 21 also be used for the aluminum multilayer pipe?

No, the Euro adapter no. 21 is not suitable for the aluminum multilayer pipe as it has no O-rings and no plastic washer for the galvanic separation between aluminum and brass.

What do I do if a connection is leaking?

If a connection is leaking, the fitting can be reused using a repair kit. To do this, the fitting must be dismantled and the seals and retaining claw replaced. After disassembly and recalibration of the pipe end, the pipe end can be reinserted into the fitting and a pressure test carried out.
